Welcome to In Harmony Farms: Where We Provide An Uncomplicated Approach for the Novice Homesteader and Gardener.
It all started in a cramped hustling city, but our vision remained, we wanted self-sufficiency. We began our journey into this lifestyle like many others, out of fear that the grid will go down. As we transcended deeper and deeper, and not in a good way, we realized that what we were actually after was to build skills. Skills that gave us the confidence that we could protect and serve our family no matter what happened.
Our first garden was grown in buckets that we acquired from the bakery department at the grocery store. Things were confined in our petite yard, (if you could even call it that) but that did not stop us from growing food that sustained our family.
We then ventured into the products we were not only using on our bodies but in our home as well. Learning that many of these products were incredibly harmful. So, we began making all our own skin care and household products. Where the ingredients were no longer questionable.
Over the past 16 years we have made all the mistakes, learned the hard way, worked harder not smarter but obtained more skills than we had ever dreamed of. Now, we are here to help YOU. By providing you with an uncomplicated approach to this beautiful lifestyle of homesteading and gardening.
We want you to be successful by helping you remove the fear and providing you with a foundation you can actually build on.
We will be sharing how you can grow food with minimal inputs, raise chickens, ducks and rabbits in your favor, and how homesteading can be fun not overwhelming or frustrating (well…to a point because I mean!).
After all, if you’re not having fun, the design is wrong!
Being stewards of the land, we need to come together and share best natural farming practices so that our children’s children can flourish on this earth. Thank you for joining us!
The Farmers
Meet Jason
This is Jason. He is the brain and muscle behind this whole operation. When he is not homeschooling the kids, he comes up with the plans, ideas and the proper way to execute it all. If you ask him a question on how to grow food, he’ll tell you exactly how to be successful but you gotta put in the work.
Meet Krystal
I am Krystal. I run the other side of things here. I am the editor of the website, YouTube and I attempt to run the social media for In Harmony Farm and Gardens, all while working a full-time job. I am more of a grand dreamer and would jump two feet into anything…and then have to back track because I did it wrong!
